Hi there. I just put some Demetri Martin onto my laptop and chose to put the resolution to 720x576 (Because that was just the option it gaeve me), but when i try to watch the video, full screen or not full screen, i dont see the video in a "full mode". Here are some pictures to show you what i am talking about.

Showing what resolution it is at.

What is the other media player shown to the left of the Systray? Could that be interfering? I can't tell what you've done to try to go into Full Screen mode, did you double-click the video picture, did you go into the menu and select view full screen, etc..? What actions were taken, and have you tried playing the video after a fresh boot without opening anything else (including that other media player)

720x576...that's PAL DVD resolution, isn't it?
Depending if the rip was done right, the video is supposed to be squeezed to a 4:3 aspect ratio, or stretched out to a 16:9 one.
Let me know if I'm completely off track here, though.

I'd love to see this video in a screenshot using something other than media player. Maybe VLC (Videolan.org). I can't tell in a windowed media player whether there is black surrounding the video... Try another media player and go full screen... or even if its not full screen... is there a ton of black around the video? Curious if the rip was bad/mis-configured.

Not a solution, but a work around. VLC can crop and zoom during playback.
