So on my D630 the mozilla browser (some times the IE browser as well) is acting very slow. It would require me clicking refresh multiple times to get the page to load properly. It does that with pictures as well. At first, I thought it was my internet problem, but on my other notebooks, the page loads up very quickly and fine.

Do you know what could possibly be the problem? Something to check for?

I'm not good with these kind of problems :(

Thanks for your help in advance.

btw, some times only half the page loads and I have to refresh it to get it to load fully. And some times it won't load at all and it will say "mozilla or IE cannot display the webpage".

When I tried uploading pictures on photobucket with the D630, it just gets stuck at the upload screen and never progresses. I tried on my M1210 and it uploaded fine! And it's on the same internet connection. How weird. Thanks

What's the OS? I've heard of issues with upgrades to Vista causing internet issues.

If you haven't already, try clearing your cache, Sirius.

I've cleared everything. It still does it. The only difference between all of my D630's and M1210's is that this one is running bitlord to download Rosettastone. I've exited the program and for some reason, i still believe that bitlord is the culprit.

    Does anyone agree?

    thanks

my browsers would slown down sometimes to a dead crawl if i have other ftp sessions running in parallel or in background. this is quite normal depending on the bandwidth one has. sometimes an aggressive (whatever the heck this means, heard it many times) AV scanner would cause the slowdown as well

    cheers ...

sounds like a issue maybe with your network settings or your networking hardware.

I dont think vista would be an issue I have vista and xp and vista actually runs faster to me.

somtimes I boot into xp to play a game and my wife will always restart the computer and boot into vista while im at work because she said the web surfing is much faster... its indeed true pages just pop up in like .00001 seconds on vista. vs the second it takes on xp.

Your MTU settings may be weird.

Also, does it happen with every server, or just some of them? Most of the time that I get those kinds of errors, the server is having issues.

nope. it happens with any server not a certain server.

I think I need to delete bitlord, I honestly think it's the reason.
