I had an error about ole32.exe missing on my g73jh, ignored it for a day.
The next day i had my laptop open the whole day and the day after that
I only got POST startup and a blank screen.

I opened my laptop up and re-set the wires and re-seated the ram sticks.
still nothing. so i decided to install a fresh OS on my 500gb hard drive (i've got two, one ssd and one 500gb) that has 2 partitions, one being backup, and the other backup of backup.

I got it to work, grabbed the files from my ssd and made a fresh install.
but everytime i restart it detects the os from the 500gb, so i formatted it on on the normal program for formatting hard drives.

the ssd works fine, but the startup and the response time of the hdd is a pain.
I'm trying to transfer important files from the 500gb to the ssd but it really takes a long time for it to transfer. :p

any ideas on what to do? :p

Oh! and while i was transferring files i don't know what happened, but just now when i woke up it was off, tried turning it on and no power.

ac adapter is green, but no fans swirling etc.
and did i mention that my battery "needs to be replaced"? It's been like that for a year now so i can't test to see if my laptop runs on battery. :p

It should be operating on ac. Try removing the battery and use ac only. What happens then?

turns out the ac adaptor is broken itself. :p i managed to buy the same adaptor and i had my laptop cleaned out inside, repasted, and started working again.

but my 500gb drive has taken it's toll and started to make beeping noises so i decided to take it off. when i tried turning my laptop on it won't light, or post anything. even with the new ac adaptor.

repairs cost me 4800php (or 110USD)

today's a sunday in our part of the world and can't contact repair service atm, guess i'll have to wait it out a little more. :p

Got it back, works like new. :)
but the technician called back telling me that my ssd isn't compatible with the g73 because it's what's causing the laptop to have power problems :p

What SSD do you have. There are some that have issues, not just with a G73, but overall issues. SF controlled SSD's seem to have a lot of issues, but I don't know of any SSD's that are not compatible with the G73. I have used several in mine, so maybe you have an OCZ?

And the fact you said the SSD works fine says that... it is working fine. Several questions.
    1) Do you have the SSD in the HDD bay?
    2) In the BIOS, which is set up to be number 1 on your boot list?
    3) have you run CHKDSK on the HDD?

I have an SSD and HDD on my G73. I have it set up to run the OS and my high priority programs on the SSD, I keep data and my backup on the HDD. I do have mine set up to boot from only the SSD. I keep an image both on my HDD and my external backups. Let us know the answers to the above questions, and maybe we can help. But it sounds like the SSD is fine. At least based on your OP.
