I've just gotten an Inspiron 6000 that came with free 15 month McAfee subscription with AV, firewall, spam etc.
I've heard mixed reviews about McAfee...is it any good? What I was going to install was AVG Free, Zone Alarm firewall, AdAware, Spybot (S&D) and Spywareblaster, all freeware. I know the last three do pretty much the same thing but I was told that they all compliment each other, and they'll prob go on anyway. The main thing is the AV/firewall.
Would the McAfee stuff be better than the free stuff or is there anything else to recommend?
Help would be appreciated, thanks.

you can download sygate personal firewall when that one runs out its realy good and the basic version is free.

I use avast! anti-virus rather than AVG, but the freeware virus scanners seem to be generally about as good as one another at detecting things...
