I want to burn some videos to DVD's, I have Nero 6, which type of files are for DVD's to play on DVD players?
I hear AVI or MPEG?

AVI is mainly used for compressed files on computers, so I wouldn't think that would work. I think that MPEG files will work on DVD players, but I would check with some DVD's if you have some.

Alright, thanks!

If you have a DivX DVD player, you can burn divx/xvid .avi's on to DVD's as "data". I have one of these players and it's awesome, I can fit an entire season of a TV show on two DVD's.

DVDs are encoded as muxed MPEG2 with PCM, AC3 or DTS audio.

go to www.videohelp.com
to learn all about video methods, tools, authoring, burning, etc blah blah =) -
Yeah, you need to 'Author' DVDs. Second on Videohelp.com...

Some DVD Player can play Divx
-
does anyone know if the Playstation 2 will play divx??

Not in standard trim, Sensi. There may be a modchip available which gives you divx playback, but I wouldn't swear on it. That's why I prefer the Xbox for my cheap HTPC needs.
