Here are the experiences of the author after spending 30 days on Vista. Doesn't sound like he liked it.
And, for comparison, here is the same author's article on Linux, over the same time period.

I'm surprised the author's not in England by now.

What's taking him so long? -

This article appeared on slashdot, and it seems that this caused the site to be "slashdotted".

Editor's Note: The fact is that Vista is far from "unfit for any user," and this statement by the author is simply incorrect. If you read the discussion thread linked below you will find there are many Vista users that are having positive experiences. The author's experiences are his own and I think a great look into just some of the complications that can come with upgrading to Vista. Some have had worse experiences and some have had better.

Not sure why we needed to read an article from there, when there are plenty of people in these forums who have said the same thing.
Some companies hire image consultants, PR firms, and strategic influencers to help their products succeed online. I'm sure that doesn't happen here or anywhere else though.
It’s easy to manipulate top blogs, just hire a PR firm

Define manipulation
I'd hope if the things that they are e-mailing the top blogs about suck the blogs would post as such (assuming they try said product) if they don't try said product I'm not sure what the blog is worth since it doesn't really tell anything. -

Did you actually read the article?
This is the same guy who did an article on "using Linux for 30 days" where he installed Linux on all his machines to evaluate the usability.
If you read further, or any of his other articles, you'll see that he uses both Windows XP and Linux for his normal daily use.
As for your obviously loaded question; the real Linux community (ie, the guys responsible for actually making changes to the core OS) takes reviews of Linux by windows users very seriously.
Reviews by non-users are EXACTLY the type of experience you want to have when you are trying to make useful changes to anything.
You sound just like the fanboys you're trying to make fun of. -
Of course, I do dismiss reviews that shout "I can't play MP3's!" as they are just silly. -
-
And some people might even go so far as to say that the best person to review a new OS is one who knows what the alternatives are, and what they are capable of. Rather than one who has never seen a computer before, and will be impressed by a blinking text cursor on a black screen. -
