    Hiya,

What are the general tools to have for a high end laptop? For example Ive found:
Crystal Disk Info - tells you your SSD's life span stats
    XTU - Obviously
CPUID CPU-Z - Don't rely on its GPU info if you have 8gb Vram
GPU-Z - Rely on this instead for CPU-Z info
Display Driver Uninstaller - to fully remove your Video driver
CoreParkingManager - As I posted in another thread to run your CPU at Turbo all the time
HWiNFO64 - Tells you everything you ever want to know about your laptop. Works great with rainmeter ass well.
    Speccy - Like HWiNFO64

Anyway thats the stuff Ive found useful since getting my new Laptop, Please post your useful utilities that you use.

In case you ever figure it out, the word you want is " essential".

I find a good set of jeweler's screwdrivers to be a very useful tool for my laptops. Can't keep it in good shape for years without some hardware upgrades and maintenance.

Software-wise, MrDJ's list is much more comprehensive than what I could come up with. I've bookmarked it as well; I've used less than half the software there and some of it looks pretty useful.

#1: Macrium Reflect (or similar, + a reliable external hd) to quickly get back on the road after some of those late night experiments :)

    1) One of the very first pieces of software you should add.

    2) Second only to (or maybe before) your antivirus.

    3) MiniTool Partition Wizard

    4) PerfectDisk

    5) Image Software -- Acronis

    6) Data Recovery
