Intel 825xx Gigabit Platform LAN Network Device
My internet randomly won't display web pages. My computer never appears to lose it's connection because downloads always remain active. I've tried on multiple browers on multiple networks, both wired and wireless. At one point, I was told to uninstall and reinstall my wireless card, which I did, and it seemed to solve the problem for a few days before coming back.
Does this driver have anything to do with my internet connection? Can I safely reinstall it? Do you think it might fix my issue?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

It's the driver for your *wired* LAN port. If you use a *wired* connection, this is the driver that makes it work.
If you are using wireless, this driver is *not* being used. It should not be affecting anything in this case. -
Have you treid a virus scan, I've had an issue many moons ago similar to yours and found out it was a dubious peice of software, try a virus scan and try a scan with malwarebytes.
On that question, what anti-virus software do you have installed? -
Thats odd. Like it was said, it has to do with your wired connection. I would try running the driver update under device manager.

I have MSE installed and run regular scan with Malwarebytes. I'm might try uninstalling that device completely and doing a completely new install. I did the same for my wireless card and the problem seemed to fix itself for a few days before returning. There are two other devices under networking that I'm not really sure about. Maybe one of you guys can enlighten me?
Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #4 (Just tried running a driver update and I received a warning that the update might be harmful) -
What version of Windows do you have on your computer. What wireless card is in your laptop. Click on start/right click on computer/click on properties/toward the top left of the window that opens up click on Device Manager/ In the Device Manager window find network adapters and expand the tree. You should see the name of your wireless card. Now click on driver and you should see what version you have. Post back with the version of Windows what wireless card and driver.

So you are running Windows 7. Windows 7 adds native Virtual WiFi technology from Microsoft Research – istartedsomething
This can allow you to use your computer as an access point so other computers or devices can use the web from your computer. -

I want to point out that I have the same problem on both wireless and wired connections.
What does this driver do?
