There is already a huge list here.
-
yes, and in post #755 of that thread, I refer peeps to portableapps.com for interesting lists.
-
Well, the programs were free for me.
-
Well looks like somebody went free add-ons crazy!!.
Anyway, my laptop is my sole computer for now and since I bought it to use as a video editor, I didn't want to clutter it up with too many add-on or programs free or otherwise (you're not suppose to put anything on it).
In any event, I have these:
1) Partition Wizard
2) PerfecDisk 10
3) QuickTime Player
4) Avira AntiVirus
5) Revo Uninstall
I have to point out that some of these like the Revo Uninstaller only offer a limited us period. So they're actually not free forever. I've also got a few gadgets, (weather, CPU, calender, clock) if you count them? -
I have way too many to even begin to list them. A lot of them are courtesy of Giveawayoftheday.com.

Hmmm what do you guys recommend for a webcam program, i have YawCam, but I really don't like the UI

^^Check out the link I gave you! There is bound to be something there!

My favorite free applications are:
Handbrake - What a great for ripping DVDs and certain other encoding needs.
FairUse Wizard - It's another great program for DVD ripping. I use this when I want to make a batch of conversions since it'll copy the contents of the movie right onto the hard drive, which means I can put several discs on my computer and let the program do the encoding overnight.
XBOX Media Center - I love this program. Anyone that wants to create a home theater PC needs to look into this software. It is leaps and bounds ahead of Windows Media Center in functionality and speed. Once I get my desktop HTPC setup and running this software I will be making another donation to the creators.
OpenOffice - This is in a folder of programs that I have to install right after doing a clean install. It's amazing how handy this is for office tasks. My computer isn't nearly as useful without it.
uTorrent - It is simply the best Bit Torrent client available. The interface is clean, the speed is great, and it has an unbelievably small footprint. I don't get many opportunities to use it but it was awesome when I started downloading a number of different Linux distributions.
CCCP / K-Lite Codec Pack - It's nice to install a bunch of necessary (and unnecessary) codecs all at once. I'm planning on switching to using CCCP but all of my machines right now have the K-Lite Pack. I've never had any trouble, though.
VLC Player - This is a handy media player for watching videos and listening to music.
I use a bunch of other free programs but these are some of my favorites -- at least of the apps that I can think of off of the top of my head. I don't really like -
