    Try later, they got rid of search for the time being to try and speed up the site.

    I'm sure it was an innocent spelling mistake. No need to rub it in. Be nice.

    And I haven't heard of anything called "Noodle 32" either :p . Fanboy comments like those have no value. Take a look at some of the comprehensive tests done by professionals and decide which is better.

    Both Kaspersky and NOD 32 are top class Virus guards, No need to bash either one of them. However NOD32 is light on resources, which is why I use it. Reason could be :

    Like I've mentioned elsewhere the new v3 of NOD32 uses more resources than 2.7. But that's only a small issue with there being quite a few others being shown up by users.

    Avoid NOD32 until Eset sort all this out.

    I have never had any resources issue with V3 and then I upgraded to the smart security suite and still no issues, with the security suite, Ive seen it use as low as 900k to the high of 8mb, still a far cry from norton, there has got to be some other issues adding to the problem.

    A thread I started a while ago had a few replies with people saying they'd seen a higher load on their resources. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=186217

    It doesn't seem to be happening for everyone, my install of v3 works great and is easy on resources too (build 3.0.560.0). There are more recent builds out now but I'm not changing mine just in case it makes things worse!

    Well for the time I used V3 I saw much higher ram use compared to 2.7. Nearly double. Main issue was scanning which causes CPU spiking and ram upwards of 100Mb. Furthermore I saw continued increasing ram usage even when scanning had stopped. Now that may well have changed with newer builds.

    However there were other elements I didn't personally like such as the new GUI, set-up and options.

    All that weighed against it. I greatly prefer all aspects of 2.7 over 3. I wonder if Eset's move into suites has more to do with the changes than any real improvement of the core app.

    There's no doubt that for others it's working fine but I feel they could/should have done more work on it prior to commercial launch.

    NOD32 V3.0.563.0

    egui.exe = 2,032k
    ekrn.exe = 30,096k

    With 2G of ram and a peak commit charge of 677,924k I'm not concerned ...

    Doing a scan now, CPU spiked to 50% for a brief second but soon settled into single digits. egui.exe and ekrn.exe stayed about the same...

    I'm still not concerned...

    Edit: In the meantime Firefox is running at 140,764k the biggest hog by far.

    That's because NOD32 was rewritten in C instead of ASM for easier transitions to other OS'es ;)

    sites are legit, i get an error that says connection cannot be established.

    When you say Security Suite, do you mean NOD with the integrated firewall? I just have the AV. Isn't there a help section?
