I noticed that the IRST Driver hasn't been updated in almost a year and today it has this flag on it that it's no longer supported:

Then I see this: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel®+Rapid+Storage+Technology
It is is an updated 15.00.1039 version but it says for NUC Kits?
What is NUC Kits and can this be installed on notebooks or is it for those Intel all in one boxes only?

right, so then these drivers are not meant for notebooks I guess. I'm just wondering why on earth didn't we get an IRST driver update since almost a year then.. -
The NUC is actually the only non razer product that officially supports the core which is interesting.

That still doesn't answer my question bro. So is it ok to install them on laptops are are they only for NUC PCs? -
I wouldn't mess with IRST or you risk getting iastor BSODs and the system failing to boot. There's no need for a newer driver if the old one is working. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, especially if it can break the system like storage drivers can.alexhawker, saturnotaku, Papusan and 1 other person like this.

Oh no they aren't sorry I thought the other guy answered that.
What is NUC Kit?
