My girlfriends' friend is getting married and I am now being asked to do a slide show with music, etc. Fun stuff right?

Anyways, what would you guys recommend for this? Figured while Im doing it might as well make it look as pro as possible.

    Thanks.

Well two things I can think of, personally I'd actually make the pictures into a movie, that way you can use all the transitions and movie effects, of course I also have a good video program, I'm not sure what the standard Moviemaker allows.

Picasa2 definitely has a slideshow program, but I'm not sure how wonderful it is.

Are you going to play it on a PC ? If so, even the good old powerpoint is capable of putting together a wonderful slideshow with text, animations and cool transitions. The only problem is with sound. Though you can insert sound clips to each slide, I don’t know whether you can play a continuous background audio clip. Only way is to launch and external player in the background  .

Ok guys don’t laugh at me for suggesting powerpoint  , I know there are plenty of good applications out there to do what you want. I’m just suggesting a free yet effective alternative (considering you already have MS office installed, but then again who doesn’t?) . You’ll be amazed what ppt can do with a bit of creativity and skill. I have made few presentations using all the bells and whistles it has to offer, and many of my friends didn’t believe it was powerpoint until I showed them the actual ppt loaded and run from powerpont program. They all thought I used either flash or some sort of a movie maker.
