I need a simple, adware/spyware free, reliable sticky notes program for XP. I searched the threads on this site and I didn't find anything. I searched the web, but it is hard to know what a safe program is, meaning which don't come with some kind of malware. Therefore I am asking you guys what you think is good. I don't need it to do much. It should just allow me to create a little note on the desktop. Thanks!.

I've used Postit lite or hotnotes, and they're good. I had no issues.

Of the ones suggested, which one uses the least resources?

"Just to create a little note on the desktop" - notepad.exe would be the perfect tool with minimum resource usage.

    cheers ...

    Truth.

I personally use OneNote. I hear Outlook has a sticky note feature.

That would probably be fine as well, but I want to see the contents of the file at all times on the desktop and I find that using a sticky note program works great for this.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I am using Morun.net's Sticker Lite program that was linked to above. It seems to be working very well. If I have problems with it then I will think about switching to the other ones that you mentioned.
