I wonder what is the average windows 7 boot time with SSD for laptops? From lowest to highest boot time which is ok on a laptop. Everyone talks about the crippled hybrid bios aka fast boot that deliver very short boot time with Win 8.1 and Win X ME (Malware Edition) but this is in short a silly boot that cripples the performance gradually. As said a lousy way to start a PC at.

You can use this free app to speed up your boot time by disabling uneeded apps and delaying others, it also keeps a log of your boot times that show at the bottom of the screen, I have been using it for a few months and i like it.

I am on win10 and my average boot time on my ssd (sata/300) is 22 seconds, not win7, I have fast boot disabled as it caused sleep and shutdown problems on my computer.

Are you saying your 17 is now taking longer to boot than it used to?

Has always used autoruns.exe. My boot time on my SSD is about 25 seconds with Win 7. Without the splash screen from slv7 mod vBios so would the boot of My Aw17 with Win 7 become significantly less... Maybe 3-5 seconds less(+-20 sec boot with win7 I think).

No @Mr. Fox Everything works perfectly with this last real Aw17 :p I only wondered about the average boot time with Win7 and ssd's on laptops.

Oh, good. Glad everything is working well. It can vary even on the same system. I just tested on the Panther using the utility John / @Tinderbox (UK) just mentioned and Windows 7 boot time was 11 seconds. You can see previous boot times as well and sometimes it takes longer.

Looks good. As you can see, sometimes startup is faster, sometimes slower.

Mine is Windows 10 but yeah. That long boot up doesn't count, it was after a system update.

With or without the time-consuming vBios splash screen from the mod?
