    I stream movies from home on a acer revo and winamp remote works ok but I'm looking for the best app to host my movies so I can watch anywhere.

    hum I think VLC offer that kind of possibilities, but Im not sure, have you tried to look at the major video players, or multimedia managers, like real players, windows media center etc...?
