What is this? I always get it and felt it was like a virus so I disable it, delete its registry keys, and the associatged files (mDNSresponder.exe)
I never knew where I always got this from (Running NOD32 FTW Btw)
Until yesterday, I noticed that it appears as soon as I install the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack which I trust so much![]()
What gives?

Bonjour is a program of Apple's, and there is a way to remove it.
I'm still not sure what it is even good for...something related to networking. Some versions of Adobe have it too...which is how I got it.
I don't plan on buying anything of Adobe's for installing what amounts to bloatware. -

I always uncheck it when installing Apple software. -
Ok so I am right to remove it thanks

Just another program Apple is trying to shove down people's throats (like they tried to get Safari on any PC running iTunes)...
-
But I saw the method of removal above...My way is better as I also manually remove the registry entries created by bonjour

Bonjour is Apple's service discovery protocol, lets you see/connect to other people's iTunes libraries, file shares, screens, instant messaging service etc.
It works great in OS X, can't say the same for Windows.
I wouldn't trust bloated K-Lite codec at all. -
It also installs with photoshop CS3
-
Ohhh right! I missed that one
What is teh BONJOU Service?
