What is the best and inexpensive CD/DVD burning software out there?
I have Sonic MyDVD LE in my laptop which works well except for certain files that I don't have codecs for, like .avi, etc. However, it's a trial software and has limitation.
Can anyone suggest a replacement, or shoul I buy the MyDVD plus?

Nero express has to be the best that i now of but i think it cost 60 dollars or so...
-
you can get nero 6 OEM for about $6
-
You can get them all for free, if you know what to do :/
But, if you're really that scared, then I suggest using the software
that came preinstalled in your computer. Seems Roxio is pretty decent. -

Check your local papers. A lot of the big box retail stores have deals with rebates where you can get programs like Nero 7 Ultra edition for $50 or less. Otherwise, you can get copies of Nero 6 OEM for cheap if there's a mom-and-pop computer store near you. -
The only free CD burning program i know of is this, dont know if it will do what you want it to though. I suggest getting a OEM copy of Nero 6, it really isnt that expensive and with CD/DVD burning software it really is a buy once and never again issue.

_radditz_, thanks for that link. Is it good, i.e. accurate and fairly fast?
I just need a CD+DVD data burner and also video DVD burner (as if in backup DVDs that I own [] to DVD-R/RW etc)
Don't need a CD solution. EAC for that. Anyone else know of other freeware solutions?
What about this a) and this b) ?
