    What is the best way to convert a DVD to a video file?

    I used the program called FairUse Wizard Lite. It is pretty much straight foward, it can be very easy to use, if you got Auto feature on.

    On one of the pages in the FREEWARE thread someone recommended AutoGordianKnot. It's a great program that will convert DVD's to single/multiple video files. It's pretty user-friendly built completely around wizards.

    Note* it does take quite awhile to convert the videos to a manageable size. Often more than an hour on a respectable system (see my laptop's specs).
