Any thoughts?

Mostly its alot of little things that add up to a better experience.
Though the fact thats its smaller than vista and comes with a virtualized XP install as well is always nice -
i think for a majority of users on this particular forum, and not your average customer...
it has to be the TRIM support command that Windows 7 natively does. -
I use Windows 7 every day and say its the new taskbar and related features. Aero Peek has made me very efficient when it comes to quickly switching between multiple screens (I have at least eight applications, and twice that many windows, open at any one time) and Id have a very hard time being efficient if I could not leverage this feature/was forced to use an older OS.
-
New taskbar is awesome IMO. I think the few milliseconds you save opening up programs and files here and there would add up

it supports more than one graphics driver (xp had this feature too, vista didn't).
Win7 is supposed to be faster too. -

As said before, a lot of the little things add up to make W7 great.
I for one really like the new taskbar, Aero Snap, Aero Peek, improve notification area, customizability, and general simplicity and compatibility of W7. -
Mahjong Titans!!!!!!
Fear me!!!!!!
Too bad they took out Texas Hold em
-
1. TRIM support
2. Aero improvements (peek, shake, and the one that makes windows snap to half screen) -
The taskbar! No question about it.
-
Boots faster than Vista.
-
+1 for the half-screen snap. VERY handy.
-
My vote's on Aero Snap and the new taskbar in general. Though subjective, both are very well done and improve efficiency IMO.
-
snap, resource management, taskbar and boot times.
-
The Aero features and the Superbar are the main new things about 7, the only things most people will notice is faster boot/shutdown, all the other features are a lot smaller and less noticeable in my opinion.
-
The speed that was worked on heavily by the developers and the new taskbar UI.

I would say, it should be your first venture into 64 bit os. If you have less than 4gb stay with xp, but if you have more than 4gb, get windows 7 64 bit.
Not much else, and i have been using win 7 for a couple of months now. Its like when your watching football, and a good ref is the one you do not notice, because he made no mistakes. You just want an os that works, thats all.
Win7, seems to work very well, though i have not tried gaming on it yet. -
It may not be useful for all but its damn good feature for geeks like us who tries to help others
its called "Problems Steps Recorder"
and YouTube Link -
Still doing the old fashion Remote Assistance and TeamViewer combo. -
I never knew about that "Problem Steps Recorder" thing before, but all I gotta say is: Sold.
-
I'll go with stability
i have to say i love windows 7 didn't like xp/vista but this thing totally different -
I don't have Windows 7 yet but I am sampling the Snap, and find it acceptable. However, that "Shake" thing give me the creeps.

The biggest killer for me is the heavily improved Tablet Input Panel in Windows 7. It's really gorgeous compared to Vista or XP.
Else, as the others said, the taskbar and the feeling that it is faster than XP because of better RAM management, as power efficient and has a much nicer GUI and useful tools.
Sadly, the explorer in Win 7 is crap, but well, that's a different story.
What is the biggest "killer"-- must have it now -- feature of Windows 7?
