Oh that is a different error, that happens the moment you install Windows as well and is caused by improper integration of SP1 into Windows 7 by the OEM.
Microsoft Fix it 50688 for Event ID 10 WMI Error
I have that installed
My issue is Event ID 18 not 10

Edit:
Have you gone through this
Some of the main hardware problems which cause machine check exceptions include:
•System bus errors (error communicating between the processor and the motherboard)
•Memory errors that may include parity and error correction code (ECC) problems. Error checking ensures that data is stored correctly in the RAM; if information is corrupted, then random errors occur.
•Cache errors in the processor; the cache stores important data and code. If this is corrupted, errors often occur.
•Poor voltage regulation (i.e. power supply problem, voltage regulator malfunction, capacitor degradation)
•Damage due to power spikes
•Static damage to the motherboard
• Incorrect processor voltage setting in the BIOS (too low or too high)
• Overclocking
•Permanent motherboard or power supply damage caused by prior overclocking
•Excessive temperature caused by insufficient airflow (possibly caused by fan failure or blockage of air inlet/outlet)
•Improper BIOS initialization (the BIOS configuring the motherboard or CPU incorrectly)
•Installation of a processor that is too much for your motherboard to handle (excessive power requirement, incompatibility)
•Defective hardware that may be drawing excessive power or otherwise disrupting proper voltage regulation
User Action
•Update the BIOS and the drivers for the motherboard chipset.
•Update all the hardware drivers, if updates are available from your manufacturer.
•Check the temperature inside the computer to make sure your processor and related peripherals are not overheating.
•Check the fan on your CPU to make sure it is properly attached to the CPU.
•If you have overclocked your CPU, reset your settings to the default settings.
•Make sure you power supply fan is working correctly
Can there be a hotfix you are missing from windows update?Ferris23 likes this. -

Finally!! Problem solved!!
Now I don't know which of the below steps solved it......but at least it's gone for good now.....
1- Reflashed BIOS A10 for my Alienware 18 then removed the CMOS Battery for 30 seconds then loaded optimized defaults
2- Did not overclock, everything at stock speeds (mind you, in the past, the error DID appear even at stock speeds, but just to be on teh safe side you know)
3- Usually, the first thing I used to do when I format and install Windows is disable UAC, this time I didn't
4- Next, I would apply the Microsoft Fix it 50688 for Event ID 10 WMI Error to get rid of the Event ID 10 error which is caused due to improper integration of Windows 7 SP1 into the ISO, this makes the below error disappear:
"Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected."
This time, I didn't apply the Microsoft Fix It and ignored the error
5- I did NOT install Samsung Magician (obviously this means no OS Optimization Tweaks of Magician were applied)
6- I did not disable ANY service in Services, I usually used to disable Program Compatibility Assistant as it just bugs me when it often asks me if the program installed correctly, I left it alone
7- I installed the LAN Driver only, then applied all Windows updates, every single one of them with the exception of any driver udpates.
When installing the updates, to prevent any errors, I didn't install them all togther, I installed the Security updates separately, installed then installed the updates for Windows seperately (KB updates), then installed the .NET Framework security updates and regular updates separately
8- Then installed all drivers monitoring the event log after every reboot, no signs of the EVENT ID 18 / Cache Hierarchy error.
9- Then intalled all my programs, no errors.....
10- Now I will create a system image using Macrium Reflect PRO FTW then install Samsung Magician to see if it causes any issues.....
Update: Installed Samsung Magician and applied the OS Optimization tweaks, rebooted, no signs of the issue yet! so it must've been something else from the above list I did that fixed it. I am highly suspecting the reflash of the BIOS + pulling the CMOS battery out but I could be wrongpapusan likes this. -
There are several that have fixed weird bugs, simply to reflash the the BIOS.Ferris23 likes this. -

Hard to say, but maybe this: reflashed BIOS A10 everything that stock speeds is always smart. installed the LAN Driver only, simply Applied all Windows updates, every single one of them at with the exception of any driver udpates (KB updates) before Dell drivers. It may be something you possibly need in one of the updates (bug fix) -

I do not know if there is anything in this but take a look. Unexpected UAC prompt after you install update 2918614 in Windows

Well just got a new laptop replacement by DELL, Brand new. Installed Windows 7, same exact problem. Every reboot, an EVENT ID 18 is registered with CPU Cache Hierarchy error. So it is not a problem with the CPU or laptop. There is something not playing nice with HASWELL CPU and Windows 7. I even tested this first without overclocking or anything although the laptop was factory overclocked to 4 GHz.
Any ideas?papusan likes this. -
Can you take a print screen of the error and post in the thread, so I can check at the same location. I have Norwegian 8 version but may well certainly translate my way.
Then I can take a similar picture of the same place.
Edit: Have you checked if everyone else has this problem (Installed Windows 7) ? Have you any other hardware than others? eg ram?
Tried other drivers for the motherboard chipset ?
Another says this: Some basic internet searches resulted in little helpful info; this event could be nothing, or it could be something. Intel's documentation states that you can see this event when a processor wakes up from a low power state, so I suppose that could have happened.Last edited: Dec 12, 2014 -

noone has an Alienware 18 here with Windows 7 on it! They all have M18X
Even Mr. Fox who is the number one Windows 8 hater has 8 installed on his Alienware 18papusan likes this. -

Have you try With unpark cores or trottlestop ? Tryed With diffrent chipset drivers ? what about to try another ram stick ?Ferris23 likes this. -

I have tried with the latest chipset drivers, no difference, tried with the originally shipped RAM sticks, no difference, tried with my upgrade 1866 MHz. RAM, no difference
here is what I noticed.....
it only happens once after a reboot IF AND ONLY IF the power cable was connected. if the power cable was disconnected and you reboot, the issue doesn't happen
also, it doesn't happen after that reboot, every reboot triggers one registry of the error in the vent log under Event ID 10 WHSA or something like thatpapusan likes this. -
One should perhaps tested with the earliest chipset drivers that were released for win 7? What to change power settings?
Edit: It is long since Hotwell was released, it should perhaps be better and test old chipset drivers. -

9.4.0.1017 which are the officially posted for Windows 7 under my service tag
and also tried the later one listed under the Windows 8.1 Drivers of my service tag v9.4.0.2017papusan likes this. -
>>>Two days of different issues with Windows 7 and... I really miss Windows 95...>>>
How could have you forgotten another layer of bloat added by Win 8
>>>The problem is already resolved and it was related to Intel(R) SpeedStep Technology>>>
Probably lack of interoperatibility between software implementation of SpeedStep and MS kernel-processor-power.
My processor is displayed with incorrect clock speed during task processing (performance). It has always been. It shows 2.73ghz while speed is (3.2ghz core ratio) turbo 4.2ghz all day. In the system stands processor listed as intel (r) core (tm) i7-4930mx [email protected] 2.10ghz. It has always been. Bios is a garbage firmware made by Dell, Windows fails to detect the correct information from the bios. The processor fixes Wprime1024 171 sec, Cinebench 11.5 at 9.18, Trottlestop bench 1024 is 226 sek, Xtu Benc 918 points with win 8.1, 3DMark 11 with physics score of 10.200 (remember I'm running Win 8.1), 3DMark firestrike physics score 11.870. All benchmark tests run yummy. The software trash is from Dell(bios) and Microsoft(os). All tests with processor temp of max 86 degrees or less (3DMark tests with max processor temp max 75 degrees.Last edited: Dec 12, 2014 -
It does not error on battery boot as the CPU is more speed restricted.
