Did a fresh install of Windows 7 PRO x64 SP1.....

Everything is working perfectly except this error that's been bugging me........ I noticed it started appearing right from the moment I installed Windows 7 so it's not related to some application I installed later on but it continues to come up very often......

Now I don't experience any errors but it just ticks me off that there IS some error happening in the background which I'd like to eliminate..... please help.....

I have an Alienware Windows 7 Pro SP1 disc so SP1 was already preinstalled I guess, but what's strange is that during the Windows updates, it still finds an update called Service Pack 1 that is only 900 kb, don't know what's up with that

I downloaded the Microsoft Fix It in that link thanks a lot for this.

I'm gonna format now as I wanna install my SSDs in RAID and will run this right after the install.

Not sure about that but I got the link I posted from this thread(also an Alienware laptop, coincidence?) so you might give it a try. Maybe Dell does some customization on their Windows installations, no idea..

WBEM is the industry standard for essentially what WMI does. I would check the log from line 29927, if this is not it. I would worry first about SP1, since it is the official and in your windows update I would run it, there may have been some update(s) you require just not in the original SP1 disk used. Just in case make a backup of the system first.

You may also need to run "fix it" from the links from ATG.

So when I first install Windows, I get like 100 updates or so and the last one is that small 9 MB Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (KB976932)

Shall I run that update at the end after installing all updates? or shall I run it alone first then reboot then continue to install all other updates?

you will in the end get several update sessions and reboots. Updating a new install is a day event.
