I have a i386 folder in my C:\ drive. There's a lot of files in it, and many duplicate items found elsewhere in the C:\. Does anyone what it is for?

It's probably i386 (not i836), and it's a copy of the installation files for Windows. Many PC manufacturers put this there so when you go to install an option in Windows, or it needs a driver, it can grab it from the Hard Drive. You can delete it, but then Windows will prompt you to insert the Windows CD every now and again when it needs a file.

Oh yeah, Sorry about the mix-up about the numbers. It was probably the i386 folder. Thanks though!
