I just did a fresh install of Windows 7. Apart from the sound card drivers, I didn't "have to" install any other drivers, but what should I install and for what reason?

Do I need the motherboard chipset drivers? (i9kfangui doesn't seem to be working well at controlling the fans, rmclock can't hold the minimum multiplier on battery...)

Will better wifi drivers save more power?

These are the questions I'm asking myself...so what other drivers should I install and where should I get them? Dell only provides XP drivers for my laptop (Vista ones should work with 7)

    Thanks,

    Flaviu

Windows 7 should have installed the latest compatible drivers for your hardware in terms of Windows 7 functionality.

Just be sure to check device manager for any unknown devices.
