What kind of software do they use to add sound effects into movies? Is it video editing software or audio editing software? What's the difference between the two? If I buy software, will it come with a library of sounds that I can add to a movie clip or something?

Okay, I found out you can do it Windows Live Movie Maker.
However, how do they make those Transformers sound effects? For example, these kind of sounds: Paramount Pictures , DremWorks Pictures Logo (Transformers :Revenge of the Fallen) - YouTube
Do they generate these kind of sounds all on a computer or...? If it is all generated on a computer, which software do they use to make these sounds? -
They have sound effects libraries, as in people will record sounds label them what they are and then people will use those sound effects. Certain sounds will obviously be computer generated. Software wise I'm sure both video and audio editing programs are used.
What software do they use to put sound effects in movies?
