What kind of software do they use to add sound effects into movies? Is it video editing software or audio editing software? What's the difference between the two? If I buy software, will it come with a library of sounds that I can add to a movie clip or something?

They have sound effects libraries, as in people will record sounds label them what they are and then people will use those sound effects. Certain sounds will obviously be computer generated. Software wise I'm sure both video and audio editing programs are used.
