    Hi,

I am ready to buy a new laptop. I will go for vista as well, it will soon be the only operating system in place for Windows pc's ...

Anyway, what is better to choose from ? Home Premium or Business ?

I am doing some networking (share files between my XP SP2 pro desktop, and a mac laptop), plus some server share in the home network, printer on the network (both behind a router) ..... plus I remote control my computer (desktop), but I use LogmeIn for that (not the remote from win).

I just heard that the Home edition was somehow limited in networking (was it home networking or big enterprise networking , I don't know!)

The thing is that I will not be able to upgrade (due to the manufacturer warranty), so I would like ot make a good choice from the start :)

    Thanks

    Sebastien

They network the same if you're not using remote desktop.

Upgrading an OS will not void a warranty.

So the main difference, is only in the remote desktop option (from win) ?

All the versions perform the same, except for Home Basic and Starter editions. Business, Enterprise and Ultimate have some extra features, like Remote Desktop Client.
