There is a laptop in the A/V room at our church that is primarily used for running Powerpoint for worship songs during the service. It is in bad shape and in my opinion needs to have a reformat and re-install performed on it. I've talked to the pastor about it and he is concerned about being able to get Office 2007 installed on it again without purchasing another license.

He says they had Office 2003 and upgraded to 2007 with some sort of license that allows the use with multiple computers. He said they have no disk, they just downloaded it and he thought there was a limit to the number of times you could download it.

I've never had a license like that so I'm not sure but that doesn't really sound like the way it would work. I would think you could download it as often as you want but to comply with the terms of the license agreement it could only be installed on as many computers at one time as your license agreement allowed for.

Anyway, he's not familiar enough with it to give me details so I don't even have very good search terms for a Google search. Are any of you familiar enough with the license agreements that you can just tell me what I'm up against? Thanks.

    Hi dpilot83,

This should get you to the Office 2007 installer file. Download it and store it safely away from the current system. You'll need to fill out some info for Microsoft.
2007 Microsoft Office Suite Backup Media

Maybe others can assist further, but I think your license key should suffice if you can find it, usually it's 25 alpha numeric characters long.

Hopefully this at least gets you moving forward.

    Good luck with it.

Edit: Also there is a FAQs upper right to get extra help.
