Just curious if they will be calling Windows 7, well, "Windows 7" or if there will be a snazzy marketing name for it. Hopefully not Vista Reloaded.

I'm pretty sure that is the official name if I'm not mistaken

I Want vista reloaded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Windows 7 "Feeling Lucky?", And then they could make an ad with a Jackpot Machine display with the numbers replaced by the different versioin of windows and then the wheels would start spinning and when they stop on the triple 7, they would start showcasing all the new features of 7. All that accompanied with a catchy tune. Something a bit like this:

Windows 7 is a good name. Most western cultures love the mystique and superstition associated with the number 7. It is no surprise that people have a more positive view of Windows 7 over Vista. Vista was version 6. Western cultures do not like the number 6. It is all about the number.

I'm surprised they don't use the year after it and make it a yearly subscription update. Windows 2010. I wouldn't put it past them

Whats wrong with Windows 7?
I kind of like it clean and simple. All of these names that go with an OS should come after the more important part (the version number)
If you didnt know better and had 3 boxes in front of you saying Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista you really wouldnt know which one was the newest OS.
So having Windows 7 and next OC being Windows 8 make it easy to see where you're at in the scale of newest to oldest.
Though naming it after the year wouldnt be a bad idea either. Ubuntu does this and you can tell at a glance what year and what month it was released. -

I personally like Windows 7, but didn't Microsoft go with Xbox 360 instead of Xbox 2 because they didn't want people to see a PS 3 and think it was newer than the Xbox 2?
Same thing with Windows vs. Mac OS X. Or maybe call it Windows Y? (with question mark) -

Some operating systems take as much as 10 times and going to get it right....Windows did it in 7.

What was the windows icon for Windows 7 anyways? XP had the swirly flag windows, Vista had the flag windows in the circle and what does Windows 7 have?
What will be the marketing name for Windows 7?
