2.1-3.0 Overall based on Graphics. My Graphics is a 2.3. But I get a 4.0 and above on everything else individual.
-
Whoa, how'd you get a 5.28 average with a Sony FZ? Isn't the video card just an 8400 or something? Can I see your specs?
EDIT: my score, 4.5's the lowest -
base score: 3.0
highest score (graphic card): 5.9
hard disk: 4.2
Processor: 3.8
gaming: 3.0 -
what would be the reason where there is a very high score of graphic sub-system yet pretty low gaming or vice versa ?
I am sure my x1250 is not a fast one for gaming(some would say barely usable) yet it scores 3.8 which seems to be higher than some dedicated GPU. -
My graphic was well below 5 before. while for gaming it stayed with 3.
After I added further 512 memory, I have the graphic elevated to maximum, 5.9.
I was pleasantly surprised, although my base score still the same. My question, why, and can memory raised the score to 5.9? -

Dont take the vista test to heart too much, its far from any real performance benchmark. It pretty much pulls numbers out of the air based on your hardware.
In my case 4.3 is my score because my cpu is the lowest score....
my cpu is very fast tho 2.8ghz Opteron 148. -
That is basically what I wanted to say, I removed the conclusion from the post

You shouldn't be getting AVERAGE scores at all...unless you are changing hardware all the time, your WES should stay very constant.
-
I agree, but it would be nice if it was a decent benchmark tool. The concept is a great idea. Right now consumers have to look at minimum system requirements, recommended system requirments, many say 3.0ghz or higher processor (no mention of dual core processors being plenty), etc. It would be nice if my mom or dad could look at the box and say "It's a 3.5, my computer can run this program."
-
my base score was a 3.6 due to the processor, i am no longer on vista though.
-
2 - intel graphics
-
PROCESSOR - 4.9
RAM - 4.5
GRAPHICS - 3.7
GAMING GRAPHICS - 3.4
HARD DISK - 4.8
Average = 4.26
Does anyone know how to increase the Gaming Graphics? -
You can't increase our gaming graphics unless you have different graphics card. I don't think the gpus are replaceble in notebooks as they are part of the board.
-
thanks dude bit of a shame really
-
Wait... so you can only see your Vista experience score AFTER installing Vista? That sounds kinda pointless, doesn't it? I mean, if I'm gonna have a crappy experience with Vista, I'd want to know BEFORE I install it, not afterwards.

Processor: 4.9

the 512mb 8600gt only pulls a 4.5 on the vista scale... that thing is so unrelable.
so thats my lowest score is my gaming graphics at a 4.5
it would really suck if you have a game like shadowrun that requires a 4.0 to play and you know your stuff is good enough to play it but vista ays you have a 3.9 or something and so the game wont even start.
What's your average Vista Experience Score?
