GOM Player couldn't play a lot of my .avi
even with the codecs they provided me with. KM Player owns all. Don't bother with GOM, uninstall. -
K-Lite Codec pack full + Windows Media Player = The best.

+1 For Windows Media Player + Klite Code Pack also i use MPC-HC sometimes to play DVDs too , the reason i like WMP is its sound clarity and Bass reproduction even without any Plugins
-
+2 klite codec pack and media player. nothing more is needed..

VLC?
It works for everything AFAIK...
Although I usually rip em first so possibly not... Vista Media Centre + Ffdshow maybe -
HP Quickplay
VHS-quality at best, but WMP isnt any better, i need to find something else -
Media Player Classic Homecinema with CCCP (codec pack). It plays everything I shoot at it.
Since VLC did those UI changes, it seems sometimes to be sluggish so I'm moving to MPC. -
Dumb question... how do you install a codec pack to WMP?
