I have windvd creator and editor on my laptop, tried to burn a dvd last night and it came out all glitchy and mumbled. It pauses then skips and cannot be watched at all, I followed what little instructions came in the help section and thats what I got.
It took over 3 1/2 hours to make a bad dvd, I copied the dvd to hard drive and then tried ripping it to the burner.

Nero for sure. You also need something to get past the write protection on the DVD.

I agree. I think Nero is one of the best DVD burning software out there. Its very user friendly and has several different options. I use it for all of my burning needs, and so far haven't had one bad disk.

You can get a OEM copy of Nero on eBay for $10 or less.

I have an OEM copy of Nero, I like it very much.

I also use NTI DVD Maker 7. It is very nice software.

If anyone wants the Nero OEM, don't hesistate to ask.

I had a few dozens at one point, I just gave em away cos it would be in better use by someone then lying in a thick layer of dust

CDBurnerXP and Deepburner are free and work well for the basic stuff. Although they will burn data DVDs, they will not burn DVD Videos. They can use the ouput from DVD Shrink if it is in .iso format to burn a DVD Video.

I loaded nero 6 first then dvd shrink, it took nero as a plug in for burning.
Works flawlessly. I appreciate the help from all who have replied.

Depends on the format of the Video. I personally have had success with a program called WinAVI. It converts and burns WMV, AVI, DVD vob, and even Real Video files. And it is relatively quick. You can probably google and and find a free trial somewhere, try www.majorgeeks.com, my new favorite download site, since download.com turned to crap.

Please not raised hand. I would love a copy of Nero if you still have some.
