I've been using about:blank on any of my PCs for years.

I just don't like websites start to load on its own, maybe that's just me.

Actually, you're right - it's annoying, and can slow things down unnecessarily, and who knows what's actually being loaded. I use google on the system I'm on now (shh! don't tell, it's work  ), but at home I use the same thing - about:blank; I was using a self-written html page stored on the local drive, but I got tired of it. Somehow, there's just something a little comforting about a nice pane of quiet white at start-up.

Well that Virgin Vie Cosmetics does catch the eye lol.

But they are a bit OTT.

Was just thinking along the lines of msn, or other stuff.

I like looking at news and entertainment.

I think Yahoo and msn and virgin media are my only options I guess.

They are all just so full of garbage and usless stuff ya know.

    Thanks guys

Hey, at one point, I had 333 tabs opened in opera, and the thing would take up half the screen.
kudos to 4 Gb of RAM and fast CPU/hdds :D

    No, I am not kidding.
I actually want to do something else one day, Open as many tabs as possible to see how many Opera handles with 4 Gb of ram. :)
I will post my results soon.

EDIT :I just realised that when I had 333 tabs, I was using a smaller DPI. Right now at 120DPI, I don`t think I can hit 333 tabs.
Oh well, let`s see how many it takes to fill my 17 inch 1920x1200 screen :D

Hmm, judging by the ammount of tabs, I`d say I can hit 300 before running out of space haha
    :D
    160 tabs so far...

Granted, it takes a long time to open them, but closing the tabs is super fast, just takes 160 click :D

I use Speed Dial with my Firefox after tasting it on Opera and on Chrome. Works great! Very customizable too. Just set it to never update any forums because it goes in and resets your "new posts" link after that with some forum software.

The Speed Dial and the Tree Style Tabs extensions are great for Firefox.

I will give you the max results another day, after I reduce the DPI to 50% and fill the **** screen with tabs.
I will not have rest until OPERA will use all of my RAM!
    I spoke!

Surprised more people don't use iGoogle.

I love it. I have my fall theme currently which updates itself throughout the day.... shows my gmail account, si headlines, cnn headlines, top news headlines, quotes of the day, live feed of Detroit's river skyline.... it's pretty sweet.

Well, there is a bit of tempering there, given that the WSJ is included - but only if the poster reads the op-eds in the WSJ and uses the NYT op-ed page to line the bird-cage, or pick up after a dog on the sidwalk. :p
