Sometimes when my computer wakes from Sleep mode the screen freezes on gray and I have to do a hard reboot.
I am not sure if this is Windows issue or hardware issue. All the drivers are updated.
Windows 10.

Try turning off, "fast start-up" in "choose what the power button does"

Made the change. So far so good.

I also had to downgrade the "Intel(R) Management Engine Interface" driver from v11+ to v9.5 but you may be OK, Give it a while and see how it goes.

Firmware and driver must match for it to working perfectly, otherwise you will run into issues. Older MEI driver will impose stricter temps limits than newer ones.

Well i have been running v9.5 for years without any problems, If i use v11 i get freezing during sleep and my notebook will not power off fully.
Every time i do a clean install with the latest Win10 version(every couple of months), hoping the problem will be fixed, But NO, I still get sleep freezing and hanging shutdown problems, so i have to do the driver and fast boot fix, I wish i did not have to.

Maybe 11.8 firmware might fix it. Try disabling or setting the startup of intel DAL(Dynamic App loader) and Intel(R) Management and Security Application Local Management Service to manual in services.msc

Where can i get, v11.8, I just update v.9.5 manually and it updated to only v11.0

If you have skylake cpu then there's an exploit to fix and only 11.8+ has the fix and you must wait until HP releases an BIOS update.

My Cpu is quite old, It is a Haswell.
I managed to update to v11.7
It can take a while for the sleep freeze and the shutdown problem to show, I will report back later.

I'd suggest to stick with whatever HP's latest drivers since it doesn't come with exploits. I think your IMEI version is 10.x.Tinderbox (UK) likes this.

I just ran the Intel exploit detector tool "SA00086_Windows" and it said i was not vulnerable on v11.7 or v9.5

Its better to have same firmware and driver for max compatibility and performance. I have 11.x firmware and driver to compliment that.

Well there is an updated BIOS dated from March. https://support.hp.com/us-en/driver...n-one-desktop-pc-series/5387842/model/5399564
They haven't listed any Intel MEI driver so use generic drivers. May I know which CPU you're using? -

It`s an Intel i3-4010U
EDIT: I am using the latest bios as in the link you posted above.

I think Intel Mei driver isn't needed. I hope you have intel rapid storage driver 13.6 or 14.x?

I have installed the rapid storage driver a few times but i see no difference so it`s not installed at the moment.
John.
I have installed the "HP Support Assistant" and the only updates it recommended was for wifi and wireless button driver.

Good. Ohh you have an SSD so IRST will not do much help is you aren't bothered by power savings. Anyway I think IRST 14.0.0.1143 is the wise choice if you want few extra megs of reads and writes on HDD. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25091/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-
EDIT: Try newer GPU drivers for intel https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...phics-Driver-for-Windows-15-40-?product=97500 -

I am already using the latest graphic driver, same version as you have linked above.
I have installed the IRST software, But as i have said i dont really see any difference in performance and with my low power cpu, I like to keep background processes to a minimum.
Thanks
