Recently, whenever I boot my Vista pc up(specs in sig) I get this folder that appears on my desktop. "Programs" folder. How do I stop this from happening?
I delete it and empty the bin but it still shows up when i reboot.

Does it show up as 'hidden' by any chance? It might just suppose to be there, but hidden.
If not, you can go into Windows,Documents and settings, user, bla bla, desktop and delete it from there. It can`t show up again if you delete it from the source.
But it might be something needed. If it`s not taking up disk space, right click it,properties, make it hidden and that`s it.

But you said that you originally deleted it, but it would always come back. So you haven't solved the problem, you just put it in another place. It seems like a folder that cannot be deleted, that's what I draw from this experience.

Well the folder originated from that program I DLed which caused the problem in the first place. I deleted it from there because it made a separte folder, "Programs" and put every app. I have in there. It was basically a double. So i deleted it, and it remade itself on the Desktop.

As I said, if this is not related to a virus or else, then you should not worry about, but I find weird not to be able to delete a folder.
