    Hi Guys,
I want to use another disk as primary OS (XP), so I installed it as external, and I'm copying all the files (including hidden) from C to that disk.
Now, strange thing is that when I see the properties of the C drive, it says 20 Gb used, but when I see the folders and files inside (including hidden), it says only 12 Gb. Where is the rest?
Is this a good strategy or there is a software I can use to clone the content of one drive to another. I tried the clone utility of Acronis, but that one copies disk to disk (including partitions), not content to content.
    Hope you can help me,
    Thanks.

are you including system files? Page file? hibernation file? system restoren contents?

what exactly do you mean by "content to content"?

I mean the complete content of one HD to another. But not the partition.
It's fine anyway, I just started from 0.
    Thanks anyway.

Acronis is a great tool for cloning HDD and it will make it so that you can copy a smaller HDD onto a larger one. I use it at work all the time. It does allow you to choose a complete clone or just individual directories and files. The partition can be deleted or separted manually for more space.
