Recently i purchased a Gateway p-7805U from Best buy and there was no restore disc/OS disc.
I want to clean install the OS, so that i can wipe off the pqservice partition and get rid of bloatware. It originaly came with SP1 already on there. I have a license key on the bottom of the laptop.
Is there a way i can ask microsoft for an installer disc or can i use a friends and just type in my key

You should be able to use a friends disc with your key. However, I urge you to read the following thread for the best way to do a clean install.

You should be able to call up Gateway to request the disc. You might just have to pay for shipping, which is something like $10, but I'm not sure.
Off-topic, you say that you recently purchased that machine, yet your signature says it's for sale already? -
Yeah i recently got my own place with gf and want to get a 52" 1080p HDTV (Big Euro Soccer fan MAN U.) for her instead of keeping this laptop. I barely have time to game with since i got a bike (K8 GSX-R 600).
Where can I get a Vista Home Premium 64Bit installer disc?
