The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Where does the incompletely downloaded files go

    It may be a trivial question, I can't seem to locate the storage of all the incompletely downloaded files. I recall there is a folder somewhere storing all these files, but I can't remember the exact directory.

    Check your cache folder , i might be there ( if not using any Download managers )

    General Firefox cache folder path in Windows Vista:

    cd %LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\
    cd Profiles\alpha-numeric.default\Cache

    General Firefox cache folder path in Windows XP / Windows 2000:

    cd C:\Documents and Settings\User_Logon_Name\
    cd Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\
    cd Profiles\alpha-numeric.default\Cache

    Is it ok to delete these files, the files in my folder are 55mb?

    you mean files in the Cache Folder mate ? then yes but i would doing it within the browsers itself

    all most all browsers comes with the option to clear cache :D

    lol, you'll have to ignore my stupidity I didn't even think about deleting the cache from ff. :rolleyes:
