Which OS do you use? If multiple, list all. Just trying to get an idea of how many people use a non-Microsoft OS.
This should cause some dispute so prepare...
I use Windows XP Pro.

I moved this to software since it is on topic.

Tim -
XP Professional,Home & MC2005 and I'm starting to get into Slackware 10.2,and have a dual boot system with Fedora Core.
-
XP Home....
Thinking of converting in to Linux for a long time.
But then again how am I going to do my .net development in Linux.
So still stuck with Windows -
As for my OS usage - XP Pro, Mac OS X, Ubuntu, and Fedora Core. -
Win 2000 on desktop and Win MCE on laptop
-
Depends. I run linux 90% of the time at home (except for a few games) on at least 4 machines, and I run Windows almost exclusively at work, while adminning a small Linux server there. If that says anything
-
ahh I've been in DOS/Windows world for 16 years now so it's very hard to switch. I use Win XP Pro most of the time, but find myself using Linux sometimes. I'm planning to install Ubuntu 6.0.10 when it comes out later this month
-
I'm using both XP Home and Vista, but I'm leaning more in the Vista direction lately.
-
-
XP media center on desktop.
XP home on laptop.
XP pro at work. -
XP Home, XP Pro, Linux (Ubuntu+Mandriva), Mac OSX.
The only reason I use so many is because I'm taking a computer science course, and the college offers just about everything.
@LankanDude
What about Mono? -
XP Pro SP2, on everything. Work provides me with VLK.
Used every version of Windows from 3.1 to XP. Dabbled in Linux a bit. -
XP Pro and Ubuntu (and Mandriva) Linux. For now I have a dual-boot which I somehow managed setting up without losing everything. I'm pretty experimental.
-
I use XP Media & Ubuntu on my laptop.
I use XP pro on my HP desktop.
Also, use Windows ME on my old 128MB Dell XPS desktop
I plan on getting a High End Intel Macbook so I can triple boot Vista, Ubuntu and whatever OS comes with MAC. Using Bootcamp. -
I use Windows XP Home. I used to have Professional, but decided that I didn't need all the features, so yeah.
I use Mac OS X at school too, though. But I didn't give it a vote, cuz I rarely use it. -
Matt -
XP Pro SP2 on the laptop
Win98SE on the old desktop
Win2000 on the uni computers -
Linux on my aging desktop at home, OS X on my machine at work. When I (finally) decide on a new notebook, it'll be the first machine I've had with Windows in nearly 10 years.
-
Currently use Vista RC2, XP Home & Windows Mobile 2003.
-
saturnotaku Notebook Nobel Laureate
Currently XP Media Center. Have used every Microsoft OS since DOS 5.0. Used OS X for a while last year and dabbled in Linux about 3 years ago.
-
OS X, I maintain an XP Pro machine for gaming solely.
-
WinXP pro and Media. I'd love to use linux ubt I don't have much time to learn it.

XP Home primarily. I use XP Pro at school. I have several older desktops that have Win 2k, Win ME, and Win 98/98se. I've used and have 4 Linux distros on live CDs, but haven't installed them on a hard drive yet, tried once but didn't get anywhere. I will eventually get an older iBook or a MacBook w/ OSX on it when I get money.
-
I now use OS X primarily now that I bought a MBP. I'll use XP for gaming, and I do some stuff in linux as well.
-
Unfortunately, I use XP Pro mainly. I hvae my old laptop converted to Ubuntu 6.06 completely, but I just don't use it as often as I would like to. The computer is just so old that I would rather use my new one all the time, but it just has XP Pro and Vista RC2 on it. I don't use Vista as much as I had planned either. But that is really mostly due to games and the fact that my university's wireless security client doesn't work in Vista yet. If I could get that working in Vista, I'd probably be using Vista most of the time.
-
Also do you bootcamp XP? -
XP home currently , future plans going to install mandriva or fc6 on my other laptop
Tried vista rc2 I guess to early for that I'll wait for RTM or official release -
First off, the games I have are for XP, so if I wanted to play most of them, I would have to buy the OS X copy (different publishers). Games that are UB often run equivilent to the PC counter parts.
I would consider PC's better at gaming though since they can support SLI/Crossfire. But my MBP does just fine.
On another topic, I'll be back to playing with Basic OS on a C64 I picked up from a friend... Ah, sweet memories -
i used Windows 3.1 on my first laptop, then Windows ME which came with my Inspiron. Then I got Windows 2000 Pro, and now I'm using XP pro.
-
i use xp pro but switchin to mce when i get my laptop. can anyone tell me how that os is. is it just like xp pro but with a fancier look?
