I tried SRS sandbox already after reading so many good reviews abt it just to find out it doesnt work. I dont get any sound at all from speakers after I choose SRS as default speakers, even though the meters on SRS UI are moving and fluctuating, and I have no idea whats with that  ..... If anyone has a solution for this, plz share. I have Realtek HD Audio as default speakers.
But otherwise, given there is no way to make it work, SRS Sandbox is out of options list. What other s/w for audio enhancement is available for richer bass, overall sound in music and DVD watching, both on speakers and with headphones???
    Thnx for help folks.....

the problem with the laptop sound is the intergrated sound that the laptop has.

buy something like creative XMOD! it is a USB external sound card. i know i do! i dont use the x-fi crytalizer or the cmss3d . but the sound quality is much improved over the built in sound.

if you insist. i use DFX for my software enhancement. though i never use it anymore, since now i prefer quality natural sound.

Instead of using ffdshow with Winamp video player i suggest you install and use a good codec pack like CCCP and use the built in media player classic, it'll give you better video quality.
