Which is better and plz tell why, I have tried both, RM clock seems to drains less memory while NHC has more monitoring, but what is best and why?

RMClock. The old version, 1.8. I tried out the newer version, but its just too complicated and I experienced stability problems. All I wanted was to lower my voltage, RMClock 1.8 fits the bill perfectly.

woohoo oc supertones mxpx and relient k!!! old school christian!! i'll check out rmclock
-
NHC is more user friendly, but RM Clock is more widely compatible. I prefer NHC, when it is compatible.
-
-
personally, i prefer rm clock too. simple and easy to use, with more functions than nhc.
rm clock ftw! -
NHC is more user-friendly. I tried RMclock for modifying a celeron-m's clock and it somehow worked. Besides that, I don't use RM anymore.
-
nhc requires the .net install.
rm clock doesn't
rm clock > nhc -
I like nhc. However I haven't tried rm.
One more program for me to download. lol

how do you go about configuring rmclock?

You'll need Prime95 for testing stability. http://mersenne.org/gimps/p95v2414.exe -
NHC works fine for me. The newest version is also faster than others. Tried RM - didn't like it. I agree that .NET is somewhat of a nuissance, but anyway.
NHC for me.
Cheers, -
I have removed the software from Toshiba 'Power saver' since I didn't like it. I don't intend to OC or undervolt my laptop, so is NHC better than RM clock to control my CPU speedstep or?
-
I like NHC just because it's so much easier to use. The .net thing isn't really a big deal.
-
i'd use nhc2.0 if it was stable..but so far reports are that it isn't..maybe i'll go back when its ready..but for now i'll stick with rmclock 2.1
-
both are iffy with my core duo, nhc causes errors and rm cant change speed steppings right
-
I prefer NHC. it's more user-fiendly interface
-
for the rest of those reading this thread..if you have a pentium M..then NHC will work for you..for yonah rmclock 2.1 is the only one that works so far..NHC2.0 is supposed to be updated to allow core duos to work..but it has stability problems..and random restarts..search for NHC threads and you'll see what i mean -
NHC here... just didn't try RM clock..haha
-
I've used both RMClock and the latest beta of NHC and both are equally stable on my T60. Both work as expected without any crashes, slow downs, etc. In the end, I stuck with NHC for its monitoring functions and its (though finicky) ability to actually control PowerPlay settings (which otherwise didn't work from Display Settings). I also like the fact that NHC is more configurable than RMClock (at least visually).
Both RMClock and NHC are equally good at what they do (i.e. undervolting). It all boils down to which you like, and what exactly you want out of such a program.

I tried NHC and I really liked it. It was easy to set up and configure, and I figure it probably got me an extra 15-30 minutes of battery life over having nothing at all.
Which is better: RM Clock or NHC?
