I got a computer crash recently, now I need to need to transfer my iPod music back to a new desktop with new iTunes account, by doing so I need a DRM removal program to strip the original account license.

My problem is, after Google search, it ends up with piles of such software like Aimersoft Media Converter, Noteburner, Tunebite, etc

Anybody ever used these program please give some advice which is the best for computer newbies? Thanks in advance!

or send a mail to itunes support, they should let you redownload all (but you have to know your old account and reuse it..)

actually, just using your old account should allow you to retransfer your data to your pc, not?

edit: i sent them once such a mail.. yep, dave-with-the-all-backup-homeserver lost all his music once :).. they moaned about i should do own backups they don't restore and that.. two days later all my downloads came back :)

Nope, even Apple offers free DRM remover in conjunction with their iTunes online music selling.

    cheers ...

Yes, Apple charges to remove DRM from songs you've already purchased. It's a one time fee, and you download the DRM free songs. Some songs may not be available, so you will be stuck with DRM for those (I had three out of my collection of 400+ songs, and my wife also had a few in her 1000+ song collection).

Any other program that removes DRM from iTunes songs is illegal.

actually, you don't pay so they remove the DRM for you, you pay for the upgraded files (the plus version of the files have higher quality and no drm).

but yeah, i would try to get the old account working again, and then restore the files, maybe with help of apple itunes support. as i said before.
