I have some recordings from TV recorded on my standalone DVD recorder (Cyberlink) recorded to both DVD+R and DVD+RW, but cannot seem to watch them on my laptop. I have an Acer laptop which uses its default software to attempt to play the disk.

What is the best FREE media player for watching these recordings on my laptop. I suspect I have windows media player installed, but haven't tried it as it is not the default player, and i didn't want to change the default associations etc.

    Thanks
