I downloaded this thinking it was the RTM

    mu_windows_vista_sp2_rc_and_windows_server_2008_sp2_rc_x86_x64_ia64_dvd_317364

But after I installed the Service Pack,

I got a watermark on the desktop saying :

    Evaluation Copy, Build 6002.

This means I did not download teh RTM? and this is actually a beta? I thought this would be the same as the final version with no watermark.

Because it's the RC, which means it is an evaluation copy. Like all betas and RC's, you get a watermark.

I got the file Windows6.0-KB948465-X64-Wave0.exe from a torrent and no water mark, restarted the laptop about 5 times aswell so it seems legit with sp2 on system properties window.

It is for this very reason that I will wait till microsoft officially release SP2. There are so many different versions floating around on the web right now, you are never quite sure which is the correct one.

A little of everything, speed enhancement, compatiblity fixes, some enhancements, Search 4.0 is now built in. On my T60 I no longer get the bogus TPM or TBS errors post SP1. Some of my programs open a lot faster than before others are about the same.

Boot times have increased slightly as well as entering into and out of sleep. Overall SP2 just polishes the OS a little more but nothing earth shattering.

    Windows Search 4.0
    Better buletooth "support"
Built-in support for burning on Blu-Ray-disc
    Better support for wireless networks
    Support for file system exFAT

What I have noticed is better boot up performance and overall better responsebiliti. I have used the beta version for few weeks now...
