How did you wind up with individual ICO files? That is your problem. When you exported the Icon GROUP you should have had a single file that contained all of the various icons for that group. If you used the icon editor I suggested it would let you modify each one KEEPING them in a single group file. It is that group file that you would then place back into the DLL.

Reb! I specifically told him to use the icon groups and not to mess with the icons.

Bmwnick, I posted a set of detailed instructions in message #40 in this thread. It tells you the exact steps to follow. By extracting the icon groups it is easy to keep the 12 variations of each icon together. If you use the free icon editor I suggested it will let you edit all of the 12 variations. Then you can put them ALL back in with one step. Please take a look at post #40 again.

Which is why I wrote up the original instructions to use the icon groups and an editor that would work with the icon group format. It makes the whole task much easier to keep organized. Using the icons instead makes the process a nightmare because there are so many more files to keep track of.

And then when you put the original file back in the icon reappears? At this point I don't know what to tell you. The process I detailed works fine on mine and other machines. I suspect there is something you are doing wrong, but without a detailed step by step of what you are actually doing, I don't have a clue what is wrong.

    Sorry.
