It has always been more flexible and more useful in more situation than either platform.

I'll wait on it for awhile. I have no reason to abandon Vista since it is doing so well. Also im sure its expensive. I would rather invest that money into something more worth while.
Since it seems to be not much more than a tweaked Vista they should offer an upgrade disk for a low price, but generally the upgrade disks are the normal price and the full version is over priced.
They will probably have people scream "vista was the new ME" since they are bringing this out so soon, and Vista really was doing quite well once drivers got under way and people adapted. -
Wait until some take this survey get Windows 7 free thing starts up.
-
I'll install Kubuntu Linux(they look exactly the same...somewhat).
Done.
All joke's aside, I'll get it preinstalled probably. -
-
I'm going to hold off for 7.1
-
I'll be buying it almost immediately...

Using the pre-beta right now (which uses the same serial numbers as the Vista betas). Since it uses an updated version of Windows Vista's kernel, it's as stable as Vista, if not more. I really love the superbar, although it will probably disapear/be modified since they said the final UI won't be like any other Windows.... It's only an updated version of Aero right now
I'll probably get it.
@Vicious: It's not only gonna be a tweak vista. The current builds (Windows 6.1.8xxx and 6.1.9xxx), don't have 90% of the new things and the new UI. It's still using Aero, like Vista used XP's during it's alpha stage. Basically, right now, the only difference is the updated kernel. All the new stuff will only come in for the public beta this spring. -
I am probably going to obtain it in a questionable manner.

For the question, buying Win7 or not is depends on the price tag for me -
For me, it depends on the overall cost of the upgrade and the features that are offered.
-
Im probably .. going to wait a bit for it first. Im having no qualms with Vista atm. -
Your reason is nonsense. -
I will see what the initial thoughts are 1st, I have got both XP and Vista recovery discs for me notebook, so either I could go for the ''upgrading'' option. Or, I will get it cheaply through uni. But I have got no real need to move from XP-pro at the moment.
-
I'll probably jump in immediately, as long as a version is released in the price range of Vista Premium. I have absolutely no beef with Vista, but I've grown to love being an early adopter.
The cutting edge... it desires my blood. -
atleast it isn't bloatware as vista is. it also does require a great amount of memory like vista so all the xtra can be use for something else.
-
linux needs to come out and make a os that can completely use windows software without problems and that include windows based games as well.
