I've installed Tweak UI powertoy, I've set it to logon automatically. It works once, but after I've rebooted it forgets it.
Does anyone know why this happens?
I'm running XP SP3.

Try this:
Start -> Run -> type control userpasswords2
Then see if you have the "User must enter a user name and password..." checked, if yes, you can try unchecking that. -
I'm running XP SP3, didn't notice any problem with it.
You can try auto-logon through windows. -
I also found this thread, make sure your user account is in the admin group:

Instead of using Tweak UI, you can also try doing it through the registry:

Thanks guys. Solved it now. A combination of advice worked.

Yikes!

I really wonder what instructions were those. :twitcy:

I think I have an idea what happened with that guy: first time I used TweakUI I was not working under an administrator account. When I choose autologon it seemed as if my old user account including all data had disappeared. It took some searching before I could restore it back.

Ah... that makes sense. Yeah if you changed user account completely, not just the usergroup, then you won't see the old files that were attached to the other account's profile.
Why does TweakUI forget that I want to auto logon?
