I have the latest Nvidia drivers 173.80, and I have applied Nvidia's Vista Hotfix, and i don't have any codec packs installed.

Why does TV do this? Its only sometimes, but I don't know how to fix it.

    Can someone please help?

It's a long shot, but it could be your video card drivers. I'd try an older version and see what happens.

thanks for the suggestion, but the problem comes and goes.

right now i'm watching TV and its fine.

it could be this new driver, but when i rolled back it still happened once or twice.

Its a Freecom DVB-T stick, I didn't have the problem before I installed these drivers, so maybe its a driver issue.

Instead of rolling back, uninstall the driver using the add/remove applet, reboot, and then install the older drivers.

What I was going to say. :) It's better to uninstall and reinstall older drivers.

when i said rolling back, i was actually always uninstalling, restarting and then installing new drivers.

i'll go back to some older drivers where i definately didn't have this problem, and i'll report back.

i'm glad this thread is out there though, in case someone else has had a similar problem.

i can't be alone, with this.
