    Why does my Windows Live Photo Gallery appearance different?

    Here's what my copy of Live Photo Gallery looks like:

    Is it just me or does it look like Microsoft Word?

    Shouldn't it look like this?

    The one you got is the newest version of the live photo gallery, 2011.

    The pic you provided, i think, is the first version of the live photo gallery, and it looks like its installed on an early build of project "longhorn" (Windows Vista).

    Is there any way I can switch the appearance back to the old style (which is actually the new appearance of Photo Viewer)?

    Because this new design sucks. I hate how awkwardly placed the buttons are, and how clunky it is.

    I recently downloaded Windows Live Photo Gallery and have the same as you. I haven't used it much but have no complaints. It certainly has more option than a simple viewer
