    Why does my program randomly go into crazy colors?

    Granted the program is old but this error is really strange. I experienced it a few times on my old XP machine but not nearly as much as on Vista. I've attached a screen shot to show what I'm talking about. The color scheme is clearly off.

    I'm running it on Windows 95 compatibility mode, 256 colors, 640x480, disable display scaling. It still does this intermittently. Has anyone else ever had this issue and found a solution?
