    Why does my theme randomly switch to non aero

    Using Win 7 home x64.

    I think it has something to do with automatic maintenance or something related to video. It doesn't happen often but windows will randomly switch my theme to basic and my GPU will go crazy for a few minutes then it turns back.

    What causes this and how do i turn it off?

    Automatic system performance check happens at 1 or 2 at night, could be it.

    That was it. Checked in event viewer why it happened and I just had to disable the system check.
