Why does the nTune window look like this?

I'm using an Asus G1S-A1 with the nVidia 8600M GT video card. I've been told that nVidia nTune is the best way to monitor GPU temperatures, but every time I install it, it comes out looking like in the attached screenshots: the window is oddly cropped so I can't get to some of the controls, and there's no Resize or Maximize window options. Anyone know what's going on here?
